The design for these two houses in Istria is rooted in simplicity and a modern interpretation of traditional Mediterranean elements. Nestled into the naturally sloping terrain, the houses cascade down the landscape, employing local Istrian stone for their construction. Façades feature scattered windows characteristic of the region, enriched by metal frames and wooden shutters.

Oriented to ensure privacy from the access road and village, each house offers a terrace and pool overlooking thesurrounding landscape and agriculture fields. The houses and the surrounding garden merge with the natural slope providing both buildings with privacy and intimacy. Interiors are interwoven with the exterior via expansive openings, positioning the surrounding Istrian landscape as the true protagonist of the design.
